Tightrope DSP (“Platform”) is a division of Tightrope interactive (“Company”).
Tightrope Interactive takes privacy matters very seriously. We are in the business of supporting the open web experience for consumers by helping Advertisers place advertisements on Publishers’ content.
Tightrope Interactive DSP is the display advertising division of Tightrope Interactive. We enable Advertisers to build and run effective display advertising campaigns. We work with Advertisers by developing advertising creative, trafficking, and managing their online campaigns. Our goal is to place relevant advertisements on relevant content in order to create a great free, open web experience for consumers.
The Platform does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information(PII) from consumers. We collect Non Personally Identifiable Information(NPII) from consumers.
Personally Identifiable Information is data that identifies you personally; such as your address, name, email address, telephone number, or birth date. We do not collect PII through the Platform.
The Platform does collect NON Personally Identifiable information from consumers.
Non Personally Identifiable Information is data that cannot be used to identify a specific person. Examples of NPII can include items such as IP Address, the type of Web Browser you are using, the version of the web browser, the Operating System you are using and other websites you may have visited.
A cookie is a small text file that is stored in a web browser by a website or ad server. By saving information in a cookie, websites and servers can remember preferences or recognize browsers from one visit to another or from one website to another. The Platform utilizes AppNexus’s Technology. Appnexus’s Cookie policies can be found here.
Web Beacons are 1×1 pixels that are used to track actions on web sites. These beacons enable online advertising companies to collect data when consumers visit web pages that contain these beacons.
We collect NPII in order for the Platform to make decisions regarding which advertisements to serve at certain times. By combining all of the NPII collected – the platform can make an informed decision of what advertisement is relevant to the end consumer.
Examples of usage of NPII are:
Mobile applications may use a Mobile SDK to show advertisements from Tightrope DSP. Cookies are not always available on Mobile Operating systems. Tightrope DSP may use non-cookie technology such as Mobile Device Identifiers on Apple iOS and Google Play to make decisions on when to serve advertisements. The data collected from mobile devices are non-personally identifiable and can be reset via the consumers mobile device.
Tightrope DSP takes all reasonable security measures to protect our data. NPII is stored with Tightrope DSP for a period of 18 months.
Tightrope DSP respects your decision to opt out of cookie based tracking. By opting out of Tightrope DSP cookie based tracking – you may still see advertisements from Tightrope DSP Advertisers, but they will be non-personalized and untargeted ads.
When you opt out, a cookie will be placed on your browser to indicate your preference. If you change browsers, change computers, or delete your cookies; you will need to re-opt-out.

The Platform helps Advertisers place display advertisements across a multitude of web sites and mobile applications. The Company is not responsible for any information collected via these web sites and mobile applications outside of the data collected through the Platform.
Consistent with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requiring parental consent.
